What is PLC splitter?


The SC/UPC LGX Cassette PLC Splitter Module is a high-performance, standard optical splitter designed for the fiber optic networks of FTTx, PON, CATV systems, and data communication applications. Available in several split ratios from 1×2 up to 1×32, this splitter module efficiently splits a single optical signal into multiple outputs with low loss and high signal quality.

The module fits in a standard LGX cassette, making it easy to install and integrate with optical distribution frames and cabinets. The SC/UPC connectors provide low insertion loss and high return loss to support stable network performance, while the module is designed to operate in harsh environments and temperature ranges and complies with several domestic and international standards such as Telcordia GR-1221/1209, RoHS, ISO9001, CE, and FCC.

This splitter module works with various fiber types (G657A1 or G652D), and features pigtails that are pre-terminated at the factory for quick plug-and-play installation, lowering labor costs and shortening installation and deployment time. All in all, this LGX Cassette PLC Splitter Module simply provides better overall performance and flexibility whether you need to expand your network capacity or distribute a signal.

Planar light wave circuit (PLC) splitter is a type of optical power management device that is fabricated using silica opticalwaveguide technology. It features small size, high reliability, wide operating wavelength range and good channel-to-channeluniformity, and is widely used in PON networks to realize optical signal power splitting.We offer a full line of 1xN and 2xN splitter products tailored for specific applications.
